Why a car with a driver beats self-drive
For a first visit, hiring a car with a driver is almost always the better call. Self-driving means an International Driving Permit endorsed locally, unfamiliar and busy roads, and the stress of navigating while you'd rather be looking out of the window. Once you add fuel, insurance excess and the odd wrong turn, a self-drive rental rarely saves much — and it can't give you a driver who knows the routes, the timings and the stops worth making.
What's included in the daily rate
A proper all-inclusive rate covers the vehicle, fuel, the driver's service for the day, tolls and parking, and the driver's own meals and accommodation. It does not include your hotels, food, attraction entry fees, or optional extras like a safari jeep inside a national park. Budget those separately and there are no surprises.
Booking as a small group
Because the rate is charged per vehicle rather than per person, a car and driver is especially good value the moment there's more than one of you. A couple sharing a saloon, or a family of four sharing a minivan, each pay one daily price — which is why it so often works out cheaper than a string of day taxis or separate train tickets.

Does the price include fuel and tolls?
It does. A proper all-inclusive daily rate covers fuel for your route, highway tolls, parking and the driver's own costs. You won't be handed a fuel bill at the end of the trip. Your hotels, meals, entry tickets and tips are separate.
Can we keep the same car and driver for the whole trip?
Yes, and it's how most UK visitors travel — one car and one driver from arrival to departure, so there's no re-explaining your plan or swapping vehicles between regions. It's your private transport for the length of the holiday.
